ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF KASTELI

One of the most significant archaeological sites that are preserved till today is the site of Kasteli, where you can see the ruins of the ancient Kydonia, the ancient Aptera and the castle of Intzedin.

VENETIAN HARBOR

One of the most famous areas in Chania you would like to visit for sure, is close to the Venetian harbor, just 12 minutes from Nephroxenia Chania. You can explore the narrow shopping streets or rest at the waterfront restaurants that offer a great variety of food, admiring an atmosphere similar to Florence and Venice but with the distinctive touch of the Cretan culture.

SAMARIA GORGE

The 16 km long gorge filled with rare flora and fauna is one of the most visited tourist attraction of Crete. Starting at an altitude of 1230 meters, deep in the White Mountains, surrounded by dense pinewoods and coming to an end at the black sand beach of the village of Agia Roumeli at the Libyan sea. Walking through the “Iron Gates”, Gorge’s narrowest point, the visitor will experience the stunning natural beauty of the longest gorge in Europe.

Within 50 minute drive from Nephroxenia Dialysis Clinic in Chania is the turquoise waters of Falasarna beach. A large stretch of soft sand part of the European Union Natura 2000 ecological network, that can become easily one of your favorites. Falasarna is a beautiful beach that never gets crowded and where you can probably enjoy the most amazing sunset in Crete, where the sun meets the Mediterranean waters.
